Like many modern love stories, ours began on Hinge. After a few conversations, we decided to meet for our first date at Sun Wah BBQ. Over duck fried rice and chicken lo mein, the first-date nerves quickly faded as we laughed, talked, and got to know each other. Sam passed the first-date test, and, as it turns out, it was the start of something pretty special.
Sun Wah will always hold a special place in our story, so every year, we return to celebrate the day it all began. ❤️
At the end of 2021, we packed our bags for our first trip together to Austin. To our surprise, a few of our Chicago best friends happened to be visiting at the exact same time, making our first getaway even more memorable.
Austin was also our first real test as travel partners—from exploring a new city together to navigating the airport and discovering the true importance of having TSA PreCheck. We made it through, had plenty of laughs along the way, and kicked off what would become many more adventures together. ✈️
In 2022, we experienced our first cabin trip together. The cabin has always been a special part of Sam’s childhood, so getting to share this place and its traditions as a couple made the trip even more meaningful.
Even with the relentless mosquitoes and the occasional fish nibbling at our toes, the cabin quickly became a magical place for both of us. It’s somewhere we continue to return to year after year—a place to slow down, spend time together, and make new memories. 🌲🏕️
That same summer, we made the trip north to Lambeau Field to experience Packers training camp together. It was there that Armana officially turned to the North and became a fan of the Green and Gold—a proud moment for Sam and the beginning of a whole new football tradition for us.

We celebrated our birthdays with a couple of unforgettable surprises. For Sam’s 30th, Armana planned a trip to Toronto, where we explored the city, ate our way through some incredible food, and even got the chance to meet and chat with one of Sam’s favorite social media chefs, Susur Lee.
Not long after, Sam returned the surprise with Armana’s first-ever trip to New York City during the holidays. We watched the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting, visited Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic apartment, dined at one of Tom Colicchio’s restaurants, and, of course, made a pilgrimage to Sonja Morgan’s famous townhouse.
From Toronto to New York, these trips combined some of our favorite things—travel, amazing food, new experiences, and just the right amount of Real Housewives. 🎂✈️
In 2023, we set off on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure: six weeks traveling through Europe together. After just over two years of dating, spending six straight weeks exploring the other side of the world felt like the ultimate relationship test—and somehow, we passed with flying colors.
From new cities and unforgettable meals to all the little moments in between, the trip brought us even closer together. It became one of those experiences that confirmed we were meant to be, and to this day, we’re constantly reliving the memories and stories from those incredible six weeks. 🌍✈️
Every year, we’re lucky to spend Christmas with Sam’s family, celebrating the season with traditions that have become a special part of our holidays together. Whether we’re enjoying each other’s company, spending time with the pets, or taking part in favorite family traditions, there’s always plenty of warmth and laughter to go around.
It’s a time we look forward to every year and a reminder that some of the best Christmas magic comes from simply being together. 🎄❤️🐾
One of our favorite traditions is creating silly Halloween costumes inspired by the niche references we collect throughout the year. This particular year, our inspiration came from the Speak No Evil trailer that we somehow found ourselves seeing over and over again.
Almost no one understood our costumes except for our friends—but that made them even more perfect. Finding humor in the oddly specific things that make us laugh is a little part of what makes us, us. 🎃✂️👅
And then, the engagement finally happened! To cap off an incredible two-week trip to Cartagena with some of our closest friends, Sam proposed to Armana. After watching two of our best friends begin their marriage, we ended the trip by starting the next chapter toward our own.
It was a magical and unforgettable moment—made even more unforgettable by Sam getting so sick that our engagement night ended with a trip to the hospital. Maybe not exactly how we pictured celebrating, but somehow perfectly us. 💍❤️
